Summer Classic with a Twist

Coleslaw has been enjoyed by Americans for over 200 years and is still the most popular picnic side dish. Its name was derived from the Dutch word “koolsalade” or “koolsla” which means cabbage salad. Ingredients:

2 Cups shredded red Cabbage

2 Cups shredded green Cabbage

½ Cup of sliced onion

½ Cup shredded carrots

¼ cup red and green Bell Peppers

¼ Cups Marzetti Original Slaw Dressing

¼ Cup Cups Open Pit BBQ Sauce

1/8 tsp. Tabasco Sauce

Directions:

Combine cabbage, onion, peppers and carrots in a large mixing bowl. In a smaller bowl, mix the Marzetti dressing, Open Pit BBQ sauce and Tabasco sauce together. Pour mixture over vegetables and toss well. Serve immediately and refrigerate leftovers.
